The welcome area features a full width&height parallax background. A default image is provided and you can easily change it or remove it from Customizer > Header Image. Also, the welcome area can show a title, a short message, and a call to action button which can link to whatever you want. All of these are optional and can be configured from Customizer > Welcome Area. In the Welcome Area you`ll also find an option to turn off the overlay pattern for the header image, an option to disable the header image on all pages except the front page, and color options for the header elements.
